DETAIL SHOTS
Your wedding invitation suite includes your invitation, details card, RSVP card, and addressed envelope. If you plan ahead, you can have an extra envelope addressed with a fake address (I love when brides use this small detail as a nod to a favorite fictional character!) to use in your photos. I always ask that brides bring two invitations so I can capture the front and back at the same time.
Asking your florist for floral remnants, including a ribbon in your wedding colors, or providing a textured fabric for the flat lay photos can make a big difference in the final photo. Talk to your photographer to get their expert opinions and advice for what to use for these shots!
Bride, make sure to have your wedding invitation, vow books, loose flowers from florist, any special pieces or gifts. Jewlery, rings, shoes, bag, garter, hair peices, perfume, and anything special
Groom, make sure to have your shoes, watch, ring, cuff links, tie or bow tie, cologne, + anything special
GETTING READY PHOTOS
When planning where to get ready, it’s really important to make sure that you book somewhere that has plenty of space near windows/natural light or has make-up stations. Clean lines and clutter-free backdrops are a must. This will allow you to be the focus of the images. Rooms with lots of natural light streaming in will result in the most captivating images
COUPLE’S SESSION
Schedule “The Couples Session” During The Best Lighting
If you booked your venue because of the spectacular view of the ocean or the gorgeous vines in the winery, it’s essential to schedule your couple’s session 30-45 minutes before sunset. The romantic hues during Golden Hour makes it our favorite time of day to capture the new Mr. and Mrs. Schedule Enough Time For Each Section Of The Day
Wedding Reception Details
Allow 15 – 20 mins to photograph the Wedding Reception before your guest arrive
Include A Sneak Away Session
The beauty of twinkling stars and dark skies makes for a great photo backdrop. The Sneak Away session lasts no more than 10-15 minutes and is typically scheduled during your reception and after dinner. The night sky adds a touch of romance and gives your photographer the opportunity to create dramatic images with the help of lighting.
